How to Make Zaatar Tofu

How to make zaatar tofu, as promised to my Instagram followers!

I know-

Never thought I’d say tofu either,

But I’ve literally been bringing it up to adult and pediatric clients who don’t like animal proteins, only eat chicken (as so in “never fish! GASP!”) 

So I’m sharing it with you too!

How to make zaatar tofu


  • 1 package extra firm tofu

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1-2 tbsp zaatar spice (depending on brand and personal taste preferences)


Preheat the oven to 375F

Drain the tofu and place on paper towl a minimal of 15 minutes or more on paper towels (this step is important for crispiness)

Cut the tofu into cubes and place in a bowl

Drizzle olive oil on top 

Sprinkle on zaatar spice and then mix to fully coat

Place on baking sheet with parchment paper (with spacing and do not layer)

Bake at 375F for 25 min (turn once in middle for even crispiness.
